Add a Modern Twist to Your Menu with One of Our Easy-to-Use Soft Serve Machines

Treat your customers to a soft serve affogato!

An affogato is a classic Italian dessert that traditionally marries cool, creamy gelato with warm, bitter espresso. The origins of the affogato are murky, but pouring a shot of espresso over a scoop of vanilla gelato has been growing in popularity since the 1950's. It's one of those simple desserts that hits every time, whether you're enjoying it after dinner or as a mid-day treat.

A soft serve affogato offers a modern twist on a traditional dessert. Like a classic affogoto, the soft serve version is a perfect blend of hot and cold, bitter and sweet. When the shot of espresso is poured over the light, fluffy soft serve, it melts quicker than a gelato affogato, resulting in a velvety more fluid dessert.

For café owners, soft serve affogatos represent a simple yet impactful addition to the menu. They require minimal preparation and are quick and easy to serve. Because soft serve is lighter and melts more quickly into the espresso they are easy to enjoy on-the-go. There are two machines that we recommend for coffee shops and cafes who want to add affogato to their menu:

The first machine we recommend is the 191 G countertop soft serve machine, and the second is the 161 G SP. Both machines are compact, countertop models that are easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to maintain. Both machines can produce a variety of additional frozen desserts like sorbet, frozen yogurt, and frozen custard adding flexibility to the products you can make with it.

The primary difference between the two machines is the amount of product they can produce. The 161 G SP is the larger of the two machines, so is best for businesses who need a higher volume machine.
